Members of the Borneo tour left for home this morning. We spent an extra day in Kota Kinabalu, as our flight back to the UK was a day later. Wendy Wu Tours arranged another day’s B&B stay at the Horizon Hotel and booked transfers to the airport.

We had a lazy morning, getting up late and having a long breakfast and a delicious late Malay lunch at the hotel restaurant.

That evening, we walked past the shopping area to the Kota Kinabalu waterfront behind the hotel to watch the sunset and interact with locals.

We revisited the busy Saturday evening Gaya Street Market, bought cooked seafood for dinner and watched street performers at work.

When we went to bed that night, the Gaya Street Market was still buzzing.
