In July 2025, we spent six days in the pretty wine village of Kleinbottwar in the Württemberg wine region of southwestern Germany.
A Central Taxi took us to the Harrogate Railway Station to catch the 07.37 LNER direct train to London Kings Cross. Cliona met us at the station and we took the Piccadilly Line Tube to Heathrow Terminal 2 for the 14.35 Eurowings flight to Stuttgart.

Dilu met us at Stuttgart Airport and drove us to Kleinbottwar through Ludwigsburg and Steinheim.
It was beautiful and warm evening and sunlit fields stretched to vine-covered hillsides.
We stopped at the Waldbüsser Winery, bought a bottle each of their Riesling Trocken 2023 (Qualitätswein fermented in stainless steel tanks, ABV 12%, Residual sugar 6.4 g/l. perfumed, dry with good fruit) and Pinot Noir 2018 (ABV 12%), sat on the front terrace and tasted the wines with heaped plates of snacks from the winery kitchen. Waldbüsser were holding their Thursday open evening to showcase their wines and the place was packed with local wine enthusiasts enjoying a wonderful evening.
