Light rain fell in the morning and the sun struggled to appear. I went for another short walk in the village and noted for the first time the Württemberger Weinstraße sign and a carving depicting vineyards, grape harvest, pressing and wine drinking, just below the church.

I noted the well stocked grocery store with no attendants or sales personnel. Customers scanned their purchases and made payment to a machine at the exit!
We haf a sumptuous lunch of home cooked chicken and vegetables and drank Schloss Vollrads Winkel Riesling Trocken 2021. The wine was pale yellow, perfumed, crisp, fruity and pleasing. Alcohol level was 11.5%. I gave it a score of 16/20.
It was our last full day in Kleinbottwar. We packed and got ready to fly back to London the next day.
